Prayer
Prayer is how we connect to God!
The Bible tells us to "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (I Thessalonians 5: 16-18)
We here at Main Street United Methodist Church are a praying people.
Breakthrough Prayer
We pray this prayer on Sunday during worship,
before meetings, before meals,
and in our homes.
We're asking God to "break through" and
make a difference in our church.
Lord God, We pray for new ideas and possibilities among the children and youth in our church and community. Awaken their hearts to Your love. Draw them close to Jesus and protect them from anything that would pull them away. We pray that You use Main Street United Methodist Church to raise up a generation that knows You, trusts You, and walks boldly in faith. Equip us to love, lead, and disciple them well. Make our church a place where young hearts find hope, truth, and belonging. Come Holy Spirit - do what only You can do. Amen
